Eunice Jean (Chavey, Chew) Webster - Our beloved mother Eunice "EJ" passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 82 on September 10, 2016. She was born in Flint, MI on September 19, 1933, to parents Milo and Helen (Paul) Chew. Eunice graduated Valedictorian of Bendle HS in Burton, MI in 1951 and married Ron Chavey ten days later. Between 1953 and 1959 they had six children, June (Paul) Wiekierak, Russell (Christina Winder) Chavey, Darrah (Peggy Weisensel) Chavey, Kevin Chavey, Karen (Terry) Anway, and Katherine (James) Doyle. She graduated from Flint Junior College...

Eunice Jean (Chavey, Chew) Webster - Our beloved mother Eunice "EJ" passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 82 on September 10, 2016. She was born in Flint, MI on September 19, 1933, to parents Milo and Helen (Paul) Chew. Eunice graduated Valedictorian of Bendle HS in Burton, MI in 1951 and married Ron Chavey ten days later. Between 1953 and 1959 they had six children, June (Paul) Wiekierak, Russell (Christina Winder) Chavey, Darrah (Peggy Weisensel) Chavey, Kevin Chavey, Karen (Terry) Anway, and Katherine (James) Doyle. She graduated from Flint Junior College in 1962 at the top of her class with a 4.0, and then from Flint College (U of M) in 1965 with honors and a B.A. in Mathematics, followed by her Master's degree in Mathematics Education. Eunice was a Math teacher for Grand Blanc HS for 19 years. After retiring from GBHS, she taught summer courses at North Central Michigan College while living on her boat in Petoskey, MI. Eunice was a volunteer ski-patrol for over 20 years, including Patrol Director, at Sylvan Knob in Gaylord, MI. She served over 19 years on the election board in Flint, worked as a realtor, and taught Math and Science to underprivileged and Hispanic youths through an AARP program. In her later years, she greatly enjoyed her time with the loving Rosehaven Manor community in Flint. Eunice is survived by her five children, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and sisters Carmen Satterley and Janet Huffman. She was predeceased by her daughter June, and her granddaughter Tracy Wiekierak. Her life will be honored on Sunday, September 25, 2016, at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Flint, 2474 S. Ballenger Hwy., Flint. Visitation will begin at 2:00pm with a memorial service at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eunice's name to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
